Kenya Airways

Kenya Airways is the national airline of Kenya. Its hub is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
Kenya Airways was established in February 1977, following the break up of the erstwhile East African Community and subsequent disbanding of the jointly-owned East African Airways. In 1986, Kenyan Government initiated moves to privatize Kenya Airways. In the fiscal year 1993-1994, the airline produced its first profit since the start of commercial operations. In 1995, Kenya Airways came up with an IPO and the company started trading on Nairobi Stock Exchange in 1996. In 2002, Kenya Airways acquired 49% shareholding in Precision Air, a Tanzanian carrier.
Kenya Airways has a modern fleet that consists of Boeing 737, Boeing 767, Boeing 777, and Saab 340B. Kenya Airways is phasing out its Boeing 737-200 aircrafts and replacing them with Boeing 737-800 aircrafts. Kenya Airways serves destinations across Africa, Europe, and Asia. In India, Kenya Airways flies to Mumbai.
