Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation runs buses within the state of Rajasthan and to the neighbouring states of Gujarat, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharastra. It has a total of 5000 buses in its fleet. RSRTC operates express, super-deluxe and air-conditioned buses, the reservation facilities are available at various locations. RSRTC operates buses at Mount abu hill station too. Computerised reservation facility is available at the central bus stand in Jaipur. RSRTC has decided to start online ticketing through private parties at Delhi , Guargon, Noida and to near by locations. Application and other details is availble at official RSRTC website or from the office of Chief manager RSRTC Delhi, ISBT and from Bikaner House upto 20th December 2006 by paying Rs 100.
Students Pass / Monthly ride for General Passengers Information.

On express and ordinary bus services RSRTC offers concessional travel facility @50% to the students and 40% to the general passengers. Pass holders who obtain this facility continuously for three month will get an additional 5% rebate on pass amount and 10% for above three-month period.

Students are required to submit the school / college documents at the time of applying for a concessional pass.
RSRTC Passenger Amenities

Ticket reservation is available at all bus stations free of charge.

Online ticket facility is available for Air conditioned, Deluxe, Semi-deluxe and express buses through 20 Kiosks in and around the Jaipur city.

Facility to book six seats in each service through telephone is also available for passengers boarding at Jaipur.

Other than CBS Jaipur On-line booking facility is available free of cost at RSRTC counter at Narayan Singh Circle Jaipur.

For Member of Parliament, Legislative Assembly, Ladies and for Handicapped People RSRTC has reserved special quota seat in each service.

At 27 major bus stands like Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Udaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad computerized reservation along with return ticket facility is available.

Mineral water is provided to the passengers travelling in Air Conditioned and Deluxe Bus services between Delhi and Jaipur.

Break-fast (Gold Line Services) is served to the passengers travelling in Air Conditioned and Deluxe Bus services between Delhi and Jaipur.

Sleeper coaches (Gray line) are introduced in the long distance night transit services like Jaipur , Udaipur , Ganganagar , Haridwar Kota , Bikaner and Pilani.

RSRTC Passenger Insurance

For ensuring a safe and secured journey RSRTC has introduced a new insurance scheme by charging additional one rupee from passengers for traveling above 60 kms. Or ticket valued above Rs.20/-. Incase of accident immediate relief up to Rs.50, 000/- is admissible in this scheme.
RSRTC Other Facilities

At all the bus stands and booking stations RSRTC provides enquiry facility from where passengers can obtain service details.

Air Conditioned waiting rooms are available at CBS, Jaipur and Bikaner House, New Delhi.

Cloak room facility is available at all the major bus stands.

STD/PCO (telephone) services are available at all bus stations.

Credit card is accepted only at Jaipur and Delhi stations for ticketing.

Complaint and Suggestion boxes/books are available at all bus stations to record the opinion of passengers.

Corporation

RSRTC was established on 1st October 1964 and is the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in Rajasthan. The Corporation has its Head Quarters in Jaipur. The Corporation serves a diverse customer base. RSRTC is uniquely positioned to serve this broad and growing market because: Offers low fares for passengers everyday. Spacious and convenient Bus Stands with all amenities for waiting and in-transit passengers. Offers the only means of regularly scheduled intercity transportation to most cities, towns and small villages across the State and neighboring States. Offers reservation facilities for all deluxe and express buses. Provides additional seats during peak travel periods to accommodate passengers. As a socially conscious body offer concessions in fares and facilities to physically challenged. Offers concessional fare to the sick, freedom fighters, widows and families of soldiers who died in war. The Corporation has 48 depot spread over the State. The Corporation buses daily cover over 1.5 million kilometers catering to nearly 1 million passengers through its network of over 13000 services to all-important places in Rajasthan and adjoining States of Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. RSRTC is operating regular air-conditioned and super deluxe buses between Jaipur and Delhi. To keep impeccable safety standard RSRTC maintains a high turn over of buses. Not keeping a bus in service on average for more than seven years. RSRTC is also socially conscious and affords concessional rates to senior citizens, physically challenged persons and relatives of soldiers who died in war. RSRTC has an enormous in-house facility for maintenance and engineering. Buses are fabricated with latest specifications. The major items of consumption such as tyres, spare parts are purchased from the manufacturers and their recognized original equipment manufacturer under the purchase policy. The scrap material like condemned buses; spares and tyres are sold through open auction at Jaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur.

Objective

The corporation's main objectives are:- To provide efficient, adequate, economical, safe and well coordinated passenger transport service. Through the development of transport facility, development of this virgin Desert Land for our national economy. With these objective RSRTC has been providing services not only on notified routes but also on sub non-nationalized routes for the convenience of the public. Inter State Services were also being extended to the neighboring States for a coordinated transport service system.
